Quinten Doyle received the Missouri Community College Association, 2009 Student Leadership Award for MCC Blue River.

Each Missouri community college has one award winner per year. On November 6th, Quenten traveled to the Lake of the Ozarks to receive the award at the MCCA conference. As an outstanding student leader, Quinten demonstrates excellent leadership in many areas of MCC-Blue River. He has a hardworking and friendly demeanor that allows him to connect with students and faculty.

As a scholar-athlete, he is a strong student, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and captain of the men's soccer team. He also serves as an orientation leader, where he makes sure new students feel connected to the college.

MCC Blue River Letter of Intent Signings for 2010
MCC Blue River recently signed Kristi Blau and Abby Bailey to letters of intent to play for the Trail Blazers women’s team in 2010. Kristi Blau attends Truman High School. Her
2009 Truman team were district champs. She was a 1st Team 2009 All Area-Independence

Examiner selection. She also earned 2009 Suburban Big 6 Conference 1st Team and Offensive Player of the Year honors. From 2007-2009, she had 78 goals and 52 assists. Her goals and assists are expected to help fire the Trail Blazer offense next season. Kristi also excels in the classroom and is an Honor Role Student at Truman.

Abby Bailey attends Lee’s Summit High School. She has lettered in varsity soccer the past 3 years and plays club soccer for the Chili Peppers, coached by Cam Clark. Abby also excels in the classroom. She has been a Principal’s Honor Role student, academic lettermen, and National Honors Society member all four years at LSN.

The men’s team recently signed Chance Reed and Grayden Pretz to letters of intent for 2010. Chance attends Blue Springs South HS. As a goal keeper for South, Chance earned 2nd team and honorable mention All-Conference honors, as well as a 2nd Team All-Area Independence Examiner selection his senior season. He is the first official signing of the year for the Trail Blazer men’s team.
Grayden Pretz from Moberly HS was signed by the men’s team on 2/18/10. Grayden followed up 2nd Team All-State Honors his junior season with a 1st Team All-State selection his senior year. He will play central defender for the Trail Blazers, which is a position that earned him Class-2 Central-KC Regional Defensive Player of the Year in 2009. Both Chance and Grayden are expected to bolster the Trail Blazer defense next season.
