Funds have been approved by Congress to create over 3 million green jobs over the next 10 years. Learn what types of green careers will be required, job descriptions, and types of training and certifications needed for this fast growing field.
How do you know if it is the truth or a myth when it comes to making your home more energy efficient? Bring your questions and your myths and ask the energy myth busters. We will cover a range of topics including: Building construction practices, electrical appliances, lighting and more.
There are many misconceptions about "green" utility rebates and what items are covered in the new tax credits. This class will put the utility rebates and tax credit in easy to understand language to avoid confusion and disappointment at tax return time.
This course will provide discussion of the many elements of green building and design that can be applied to both new and existing homes. During the class, core competencies will be included for new or existing home improvements which provide greater efficiencies and sustainability while also being environmentally friendly. Current tax credits available for both new and existing homes will be explained. Additional industry professionals will be on hand for questions and answers to address specific questions on individual topics. Of greatest importance, discussion will take place on the sensibilities of planning a "high performance home" for an individual and family. Instructor Gregory L. Laster, CGP.
