| Beginning Sign Language |
| This intensive eight week class will teach all aspects of American Sign Language. You will learn how to sign ALL numbers, how to finger spell using a method specifically designed to teach hearing adults, learn 10-15 signs per week and how to form those signs into sentences. | Native American Flute |
| The Native Americans used the flute to imitate nature sounds. In this class you will learn the basic techniques to play a Native American flute. It is one of the easiest instruments to learn and a wonderful meditative tool. The cost of the class includes the use of a locally made flute. Easy to play, and it has a powerful voice. Even children from the age of 8 and up can learn to play. This class is designed for adults, although children can sign up if an adult also takes the class. You do not need any previous musical training to attend this class. Instructor Dan Kilgore began playing the Native American flute in March 2000 when his grandmother brought his first flute to his door and said, "Here, you can play this." Since then Dan has recorded 7 CDs and began a search into his family history that resulted in his story Silver Winds. Fee includes $10 flute rental. Flute may be purchased during or after class for an additional $40. |

| Line Dancing |
| Line dancing is for fun and exercise. It's a great way to develop coordination, cardio fitness, and memory retention. Today, line dancing is done to music of all genres, not just country. Hip Hop, R&B, Latin and of course, Country are some of the types of music that will be included in the class. Dances will consist of classics such as Boot Scoot Boogie and Swamp Thang to the current dance Good Time as seen in the Alan Jackson video. This class can be taken with or without a partner. Wear comfortable clothing and leather sole shoes. CD's and step sheets will be available for practice at home and information will be given as to places to dance and meet other line dancers in the Kansas City area. Sherrie Jansen is a certified instructor and has taught for 11 years. |

| Painting Styles and Techniques |
| Discover your own style! Learn the different painting styles and techniques to create an original painting of your own on canvas. Inspirational paintings by the Masters will be provided by the instructor or bring your own picture of a scene or person. Other techniques and styles such as brush strokes and color blending that create impressionism, surrealism and realism will be taught by request. | Weave a Shawl |
| This class is for ages 12 to adult. Get the hands-on experience of weaving your own shawl. You will design and make your own shawl using triangular looming.
