English As A Second Language

ESL 19 - Novice II: Composition (3 credits)

Prerequisites: Successful completion of ESL 9 Novice 1: Composition, and successful completion or concurrent enrollment in ESL 18 Novice II: Grammar, or appropriate ESL placement score. This course will focus on the study and practical application of basic writing skills. There will be an introduction to organizational patterns and the application of context-appropriate verb tenses including present simple, present progressive, and past simple.
