Guided readings, discussions, writings and/or field experience(s) in criminal justice. Various topics are offered such as computer crimes and gender injustices. Topics are intended to supplement core courses.

TopicCivil Rights Movement
NotesTopic: Civil Rights Movement. Trip Dates: April 18-21, 2024. Add’l Fee of $695 applies which helps cover museum entry cost, hotels and transportation. The Civil Rights Pilgrimage allows students an opportunity to "journey back in time" to cities of the great civil rights marches and protests. Students will analyze crime scenes, visit historic civil rights landmarks and introduce to segregation laws and the social political history of the time. Although this is an integrated class team taught, students will have the option to enroll as a CRJU 167B credit or HIST 199B credit. Classes are taught on the bus and at some historic landmark locations. The Pilgrimage will travel to Little Rock, Arkansas, Montgomery and Selma, Alabama and Memphis, Tennessee this year.
