Enrollment Management

MCC shall develop strategies for improving students’ abilities to persist in their academic and career preparation. This includes ensuring that students are properly advised of academic program requirements, financial aid packages, enrollment processes and articulation agreements.

Strategic Objectives

  • Increase percentages of students retained from fall to spring and from fall to fall semesters;
  • Increase percentage of students from inquiry to application and from application to enrollments;
  • Increase student engagement and satisfaction during their MCC experience;
  • Develop a district-wide scheduling process.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Increase student retention rate by 1% annually for both fall-to-spring and fall-to-fall, reaching 74% and 52% respectively.
  • Increase (conversion rate) percentage of students from inquiry to application by 3% and from application to enrollment by 3%
  • Increase graduation rate by 1% annually reaching at least 20%
  • Increase student engagement and satisfaction during their MCC experience through the CCSSE and Noel Levitz and show improvements based on the data

MCC is undergoing a strategic enrollment management (SEM) process where major initiatives are being recommended for consideration by shared governance. Some of those initiatives include:

  • Implement a constituent relationship management system to communicate with students throughout their lifecycle – from inquiry to alumni. - In Progress
  • Implement a degree audit system to allow students to track their progress on their degree and plan for courses they need to take to graduate or complete their goal. - Complete
  • Revamp the College’s website to better assist prospects, current students and alumni with vital information on our degree and course offerings. - In Progress
  • Produce a college-wide recruitment plan that maximizes our resources and increases our enrollment in targeted markets. - Complete
