Testing

Every campus has a testing center that delivers most of these tests:

• Placement tests (COMPASS). The test most MCC students take to measure reading, writing and math skills. It will help you get the right classes.
• Alternative tests. For students with documented disabilities. Go to Access for information.
• Distance ed course tests.
• Make-up tests. For an excused absence when you have your instructor's permission.
• GED tests.
  Computer-based GED testing^NEW begins at the MCC-BT campus May 23rd, 2012 with registration and scheduling available to candidates is still to be determined.
• Special tests. ESL and specific program or degree tests.
• CLEP (College Level Education Program) : Used to "test out" of certain MCC classes.
