Information Literacy Instructions and Tours
Please contact Library Reference Desk at 816.604.2266 to schedule an Information Literacy Instruction session, tour or class visit. 48-hour notice is needed for adequate preparation. Please submit a class assignment to the library before each instruction session. Information Literacy Instruction sessions are usually held in the Library, Learning Resources Building, room 115.
Materials (books, journal articles, DVDs, etc.) may be put on reserve in the library for one semester if they conform to copyright laws. You determine the length of the checkout period. Please remind your students that they need an MCC photo ID to check out any library materials, even 'library use only' reserve items. Contact the Circulation Desk, 816.604.2080.
All library databases are available anywhere on any campus – no login or password is needed. Remote access is available off campus using the MyMCCKC portal log in or through the Blackboard log in. If you have any questions please call the Reference Desk at 816.604.2268.
For help with research, online resources and other reference questions, please call the reference desk at 816.604.2266. An online chat library service is also available during library open hours and accessible from the library website or through Blackboard.

A Word About Assignments
Before making assignments involving library resources, please check with a reference librarian to see if we have the materials your student will need. A class syllabus is very helpful in preparing the library staff for upcoming student assignments as well.
