MCC-KC Campus Closing Notifications Due to Inclement Weather
MCC campuses will remain open unless conditions are so extreme that parking lots and sidewalks cannot be safely cleared and/or major streets and highways leading to campuses are clearly dangerous for travel. Each location makes its own decision to close or stay open.
When weather conditions are such that school closings may be required, you can check this page as well as obtain information through the following sources:
Monday through Friday, via television and radio:
Channels 4, 5, 9, and 41 (if you have cable, check your cable listing for the equivalent cable channel numbers); and most major radio stations. The Kansas City Star maintains a list of metro-area closings.
By telephone seven days a week:
A recorded message will be provided on the following phone lines (area code 816), but due to the high volume of calls you may have difficulty obtaining a response.
