Welcome to the Penn Valley Humanities Division Web Site!

This site contains information about the departments that make up the Humanities Division:
Art, English, Languages, Music, Reading, Apparel/Textiles, Teacher Education, and Speech/Mass Communications.

For each department, there is information about courses and programs offered by the department. There are also links to biographical and pedagogical information about the faculty of each department. Browse the whole site to see what we offer.

In addition to traditional classes, members of the Humanities Division also teach learning communities (two or more courses in different departments linked by thematic and organizational ties). Several courses, including English composition and literature, education, art, and music courses, are also taught via the internet. Some courses are hybrid, offered with a combination of onsite and online learning. All of the faculty are dedicated to providing a rigorous and exciting academic experience for students from any background or learning style.
