Wakisha Briggs, M.Ed., Profile:
New as Head Coach, but not new to
MCC-Penn Valley.

As a basketball coach, my efforts extend beyond athleticism. I continue to work tirelessly to instill a sense of school pride, build community awareness, and motivate students to set and achieve higher academic goals.
My work experience has enabled me to gain the necessary skills required to be successful in the position as a Head Women's Basketball Coach. I earned a Master of Arts in Adult Education specializing in Adult Education and Trainig in August 2008. I have over eight years of experience as a Women's Head Assistant Coach on the college level; competing in five National Championships. As a personal trainer, I have mentored and trained over 45 student-athletes who entered Division I, NAIA, and Junior College programs.
I have demonstrated my ability to motivate student-athletes through life skills and leadership strategies on and off the court. I am extremely excited about this opportunity, which will allow me to expand my carer and make meaningful contributions to an exceptional collegiate athletic program.
As an alumnus, I am personally and professionally driven to ensure the success of student-athletes and Penn Valley's collegiate athletic program.
