Youth Development Credential

Since the inception of the public school system, the human landscape has drastically changed. The need for extended programs to fill the hours youth spend alone has been recognized on the local, state, and federal level. Programs and services for youth have increased dramatically, as has the need for an educated workforce. It is for this reason that Missouri School Age Community Coalition (MOSAC2) developed the Youth Development Credential and partnered with the Francis Institute (FI). FI has been a leader in preparing individuals to apply for the YDC via both training and college coursework.

Core Coursework includes:

  1. Fundamentals of Afterschool I - 3 credit hours
  2. Fundamentals of Afterschool II - 3 credit hours
  3. Links to Learning - 3 credit hours

 

Additional Coursework also available:

  1. Conscious Guidance in Classroom Management - 3 credit hours
