Since 1979, PACE at MCC Longview Community College has provided working adults and non-traditional students a unique and flexible educational alternative.
Since 2004, PACE classes have also been offered at the Blue River and Business and Technology college locations.
Fall 2005: PACE began offering classes at the Penn Valley campus.
Fall 2006: PACE becomes MCC-PACE and expands course offerings at all five campus locations.
MCC-PACE classes can be combined with other college classes to create a convenient schedule that works for you.
The mission of MCC-PACE is to provide a strong foundation for the
acquisition for lifetime learning. MCC-PACE focuses on increasing
access to higher education for those students who have time and place
constraints due to work or family commitments. Classes are also offered
at various community locations.
The hallmark of MCC-PACE is convenience. Student support services are available at times when the working student is able to access them.
Courses are scheduled to minimize trips to campus. Students can enroll in traditional 16-week courses, shorter duration courses or evening "intersession" classes.
Faculty teaching MCC-PACE classes are committed to providing a valuable educational experience that lays a strong foundation for the acquisition and application of knowledge in preparation for lifelong learning.
