Automotive Visit Day (LV)

Automotive Visit Day is a career specific campus experience geared around Automotive Technology. During your visit, you will meet faculty from the Automotive Technology department and tour the program facility. This is a great way to get in-depth information about the area while becoming familiar with campus.

Please meet at the High Technology building located at the south end of the main campus.

Early College/Dual Enrollment Information Session

Interested in taking college classes as a high school student? This Information and Enrollment Session is available for all students who are interested in learning about taking college classes prior to high school graduation, as part of their homeschool education completion, or as part of early college preparation. Open to all Longview area students and parents/support members.

Once registered, you will receive an email with instructions for steps to take prior to the session and materials to bring with you to the session.

Are you a student earning and planning to use your A+ after your senior year of high school? This information event will help make sure that you know all the details about using the A+ benefit and KEEPING the A+ benefit while you are in college. No A+ question will go unanswered! Whether you are interested specifically in majoring in Accounting, Business Management, Finance, Human Resources or Marketing all Business majors begin with the same core set of business classes; all of which are offered at MCC – Maple Woods! Our Business visit day is a career-specific campus experience to help you get started. During your visit, you will speak with Admissions Representatives to talk about the field of business and the many opportunities that await!

During your visit, you will speak with Admissions, Computer Science Faculty, visit a classroom and take a campus tour. Learn about the many educational path that lead to a computer science degree that will allow you to transfer to a university or go into the workforce. Whether you plan to come to MCC first or go straight to a university, our faculty can help you figure out what you could be doing to help you prepare for a career field in computer science.

ENGAGE Session (PV)

ONLY REQUIRED FOR PV FOCUS STUDENTS ENROLLED IN MATH 91. ENGAGE is an assessment that measures psychosocial factors that are associated with academic success and college
student retention. ENGAGE is composed of 108 items that form ten scales:Academic Discipline, Academic Self-Confidence, Commitment to College,Communication Skills, General Determination, Goal Striving, Social
Activity, Social Connection, Steadiness, and Study Skills.

MCC-PV-Health Science Institute (HSI) Campus Visit

When you tour the Health Science Institute (HSI) you will see simulated, experiential learning taking place in a variety of healthcare careers. An ambulance bay in the emergency medicine program, two operating rooms, a virtual hospital, and a dental suite, to name a few. Come take a walking tour of the state-of-the-art facility at 3444 Broadway. (tour approx. 1 hour)

Directions: The entrance is on the 34th Terrace side. Turn west off Broadway onto 34th Terrace or 35th Street. Park in visitor parking located at the end of each block and at the back of the building; you can also park along Broadway or 35th Street. Wait at the security desk located just inside the building entrance in the Atrium for your tour guide. Tours start promptly. If you are late for the tour please register for a different date. Parking in the Missouri Gas Energy lot north of the HSI entrance, or any other unauthorized area, will result in immediate towing at the owner's expense.
