Campus Visit (BTC)

A campus visit is an interactive opportunity for you to get your questions answered, learn more about MCC degree programs, and the resources available to assist you in becoming an MCC student. This small group session is designed for prospective students who have not yet applied to the college.

Please note: Enrollment in classes does not take place during this appointment although you will have an opportunity to complete an MCC application.

MoWINs Information Session (BT)

Attend a MoWINS Information Session if you are enrolling in a MoWINS program. MoWINS programs are in-demand career fields that may qualify for reduced out or pocket cost.

During the Information Session you will work through the initial steps to get into the program and receive clear direction for the remaining qualification and enrollment steps. MoWINS Information Sessions usually last about one hour.

MCC-Longview

Adult College Credit Fair

MCC-Longview is ready to help you take the next step toward your college degree. We've designed an evening for adult students to answer the questions you have about starting or even going back to school:
Will the credits I already have transfer?
Can I take classes and still keep my work schedule?
What services are available to help me succeed?

The Adult College Credit Fair Program will feature:
On-Demand Advising for students who bring transcripts from previous college work to build a personal college plan to help you see time to degree completion, Financial Aid and Success workshops, and opportunities to meet with staff and faculty that would be part of your success pathway at MCC.

Automotive Visit Day (LV)

Automotive Visit Day is a career specific campus experience geared around Automotive Technology. During your visit, you will meet faculty from the Automotive Technology department and tour the program facility. This is a great way to get in-depth information about the area while becoming familiar with campus.

Please meet at the High Technology building located at the south end of the main campus.

Upon registration one of our Automotive Team members will be in contact with you to confirm your special visit. Be sure to select the date specific to your interest.

Early College/Dual Enrollment Information Session

Interested in taking college classes as a high school student? This Information and Enrollment Session is available for all students who are interested in learning about taking college classes prior to high school graduation, as part of their homeschool education completion, or as part of early college preparation. Open to all Longview area students and parents/support members.

Once registered, you will receive an email with instructions for steps to take prior to the session and materials to bring with you to the session.

Pre-Professional Health Care Careers Expo

The Pre-Professional Health Care Careers Expo Event is designed to inform students and guests about MCC-Longviews advanced programs focused on Pre-Med, Pre-Pharmacy, Pre-Dental, Pre- Bachelor of Science: Nursing, and Pre-Veterinary Medicine degree pathways. Event will feature MCC information, program-specific transfer options, guests from our partner 4-year pre-professional colleges, and the chance to meet our own faculty dedicated to these program areas.

Business Visit Day (MW)

Are you interested in majoring in Business? Whether you are interested specifically in majoring in Accounting, Business Management, Finance, Human Resources or Marketing all Business majors begin with the same core set of business classes; all of which are offered at MCC – Maple Woods! Our Business visit day is a career-specific campus experience to help you get started. During your visit, you will speak with Admissions Representatives to talk about the field of business and the many opportunities that await!

You will get to sit-in during a live business classroom on campus, talk with faculty and take a full tour of campus. Whatever areas of business interest you most, our Business Visit Day can help you think forward about your next steps for your education and your career.

ENGAGE Session (PV)

ONLY REQUIRED FOR PV FOCUS STUDENTS ENROLLED IN MATH 91. ENGAGE is an assessment that measures psychosocial factors that are associated with academic success and college
student retention. ENGAGE is composed of 108 items that form ten scales:Academic Discipline, Academic Self-Confidence, Commitment to College,Communication Skills, General Determination, Goal Striving, Social
Activity, Social Connection, Steadiness, and Study Skills.

MCC - Penn Valley Experience (Campus Visit)

MCC-PV Health Science Institute (HSI) Large Group Tour (PV)

This session is designed for large groups (15 or more), classes, or clubs.

Attendees will see simulated, experiential learning taking place in a variety of healthcare careers as they tour this state-of-the-art facility and visit with admission professionals.

MCC-PV-Health Science Institute (HSI) Campus Visit

When you tour the Health Science Institute (HSI) you will see simulated, experiential learning taking place in a variety of healthcare careers. An ambulance bay in the emergency medicine program, two operating rooms, a virtual hospital, and a dental suite, to name a few. Come take a walking tour of the state-of-the-art facility at 3444 Broadway. (tour approx. 1 hour)

Directions: The entrance is on the 34th Terrace side. Turn west off Broadway onto 34th Terrace or 35th Street. Park in visitor parking located at the end of each block and at the back of the building; you can also park along Broadway or 35th Street. Wait at the security desk located just inside the building entrance in the Atrium for your tour guide. Tours start promptly. If you are late for the tour please register for a different date. Parking in the Missouri Gas Energy lot north of the HSI entrance, or any other unauthorized area, will result in immediate towing at the owner's expense.
