Choose the two-year Associate in Arts with recommended Social Work electives if you want to transfer to another college for a four-year degree. In addition to the recommended electives, you'll cover the required general education coursework and electives for a total of 60 credit hours. Please speak with the program coordinator regarding the best course sequence.

The Missouri Department of Economic Development projects a 31% increase in social work jobs in the medical and psychiatric fields, a 42% increase in the Missouri elderly population by 2020 with a corresponding increase in jobs, and increased need for social workers to work in child sexual abuse and substance abuse treatment.
