MCC Alert is your home for up-to-the-minute emergency information and tips to help keep you safe while at MCC.
The MCC police department provides services 24 hours a day, and is dedicated to developing and maintaining a safe and secure campus in cooperation with other college departments.
The department maintains a close liaison with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies in implementing and coordinating campus law enforcement operations. Services provided by the police department include, but are not limited to:
- Investigating and preventing crimes in its jurisdiction
- Providing crime prevention programs
- Enforcing traffic laws
- Providing safe escorts after-hours
- Jump starts
- Maintaining crowd control for campus events

RAVE Guardian
RAVE Guardian is a FREE mobile application offering MCC students and employees expedited access to emergency services and resources.
App features
- Virtual escort allows you to invite friends, family or MCCPD to monitor your journey from one place on campus to another
- Monitored by MCCPD Communications 24/7 (Officers will respond on-scene if necessary)
- Chat live with the MCCPD
- Emergency call panic button which dials MCCPD directly
- Non-emergency call line
- Text safety concerns to MCCPD
- Call directory providing direct numbers to hotlines and emergency services

MCC Emergency Operations Plan
MCC has established the Emergency Operations Plan to provide MCC students, faculty, employees and visitors (the “MCC community”) with information about MCC’s Emergency Notifications and Emergency Response Procedures, and to provide other general safety guidelines to the MCC community.
The information in this plan will help each individual in the MCC community determine their best response to certain emergency situations, whether on, adjacent to or near a MCC campus.

Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers
The Greater KC Crime Stoppers Program provides the following safe and convenient ways to volunteer vital information helpful to law enforcement agencies, enabling them to fight against crime and solve cases:

- The Greater KC Crime Stoppers app, supported by Android and Apple.
All persons submitting tips remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a cash reward if the information given leads to an arrest or grand jury indictment of a felony offender.
