Young Matrons Scholarship
Description
The Young Matrons of Independence, Missouri have established a scholarship to assist a student attending any Metropolitan Community College.
Criteria
Eligibility

  • Scholarship award is open to male and female students who are residents of Eastern Jackson County, Missouri [east of I-435] and may be used for tuition, books and/or fees

  • Attach either an official transcript with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale Ö. OR a GED certificate with a total score of 2700 or above

  • Must enroll in at least 12 credit hours of college courses per semester. Award may be renewable if student maintains full-time enrollment with satisfactory academic progress and at least a 2.5 GPA

  • Submit three letters of recommendation, at least one of which can speak of the studentís scholastic potential

  • Attach a short essay stating your educational, financial need, and future goals and how this scholarship will assist you in reaching your goals
