International Students

Why the World Comes to Us

Metropolitan Community College (MCC) is a great place to get an education and Kansas City is an exciting place to live and study. Today, approximately 200 international students from more than 50 countries take classes at MCC. The reason is simple: our college provides excellent facilities, exceptional instructors, and a tremendous variety of career programs, all at a low cost. Kansas City is located in the center of the United States, is friendly, and offers cultural, educational, and entertainment opportunities. This school is authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant students.

Achieve Your Goals

We have many types of programs to meet your career goals. If a four-year degree is in your plans, our transfer programs make it easy to get there. You take your first two years of college with us, where classes are small and costs are low, and then transfer to a four-year college or university.

Help with English

All international students are tested in English when they arrive on campus. Students who need additional English assistance will be enrolled in our English as a Second Language classes at the Penn Valley campus. We offer English as a Second Language courses in reading, writing, vocabulary, and speaking. TOEFL is not required for admission.

Learning Environment

Our classes are small to allow for more personal attention between you and the teacher. Our instructors are experts in their fields and share their knowledge enthusiastically while providing a friendly, relaxed learning environment.

Low-Cost Education

Our tuition cost is one of the lowest in the country.
