CLEP(College Level Education Program) Testing
Through the College Level Examination Program (CLEP), students can receive college credit for what they know by earning qualifying scores on any one or more of the 35 CLEP examinations.

A test fee of $85.00 is paid on-line to CLEP when you register to take the test. A $25.00 proctor fee for MCC-Maple Woods can be paid by cash, debit or credit card on the day of the test.

Step 1: Registration

  • Go to the College Board website
  • Click on Get Started with CLEP, then How to Register for Exam
  • Create an Account and select the exam you want to take
  • Designate the location where you want to take the exam. MCC Maple Woods is listed as an option.
  • Designate where you want your scores to be sent.
    • If you want the credit to go toward a MCC Degree, use the information below:

  • Be sure to print the voucher. The Test Center needs the number to link you to appropriate test.
Step 2: Schedule Test
  • Call the MW Test Center at either 816-604-3421 or 816-604-3057 to schedule a date and time to test.
  • CLEP testing is available at the MCC-Maple Woods Test Center on most Mondays and Fridays. However, certain dates are not available due to other testing activity or IT updates.
  • CLEP Testing is by appointment only.
Step 3: Day of CLEP Exam
  • Must have a valid photo ID such as a Driver License
  • Bring $25.00 for Proctor Fee
  • Be sure to bring Test Voucher
  • Come to the MCC - Maple Woods Learning Resources Building, Test Center (Room 174)
  • Come on time for your appointment. Allow 2 hours for the exam.
