FAFSA Frenzy
Paying for college can feel overwhelming, but we are here to help! Finding the money you need to help pay for school starts with the FAFSA â?? Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The FAFSA is your first step to apply for grants, A+, scholarships, work study, and loans. Start on the road to financing your education today! No appointment is necessary, but you can register to reserve your seat. We encourage you to have the following items available to help complete your FAFSA: • FSA ID (and password) for you (and your parents, if you are a dependent student). If you need to create your FSA ID, this video provides great instructions: https://youtu.be/yj1Pn-shze8. If you do not remember your FSA ID or password, check out this video for help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIwnEbOXSGg. • Social Security Number and date of birth (and parents and spouse, if applicable). • Your Federal Income Tax Returns and W-2 forms (and for your parents, if you are a dependent student, and for your spouse, if you are married). For Fall 2023, Spring 2024, and Summer 2024, you will need these documents for tax year 2021. For Fall 2024, you will need these documents for tax year 2022. • Month and year you or your parents were married, separated, divorced or widowed. • Your alien registration number (if you are not a US Citizen).
On Campus- Campus Visit (General)
A campus visit is an interactive opportunity for you to ask questions and learn about MCC degree programs, and the resources available to assist you in becoming an MCC student. This small group session is designed for prospective students who have not yet applied to the college. Wolf Pack Welcome | MCC-Penn Valley
Have you already registered for classes and completed your online New Student Orientation (www.college2success.com/mcckc)? Your next step is to attend the annual Wolf Pack Welcome event! Offered right before the start of each semester, this event provides new students a jumpstart on their college experience. Students will learn what it takes to be successful inside the classroom and what kind of enrichment opportunities are available outside the classroom. This will be a fun-filled, and highly informative session designed to help new students successfully transition to college life at MCC. Options will also be available for students to purchase textbooks and obtain an MCC student ID and/or parking pass. Welcome to the Wolf Pack. We are excited to meet you!
