Commencement for the Class of 2026 graduates
Thursday, May 21, 2026 at Cable Dahmer Arena
As an MCC graduate, you are invited to participate in our annual commencement ceremony.
Starting in February 2026, watch your student email account and text messages for additional event information and instructions for how to RSVP for a ceremony.
Graduates have the opportunity to choose between two ceremony times -- 1 or 6 p.m.
The commencement ceremony, cap, gown and tassel will be provided free of charge.
We sincerely hope you will choose to participate in MCC's 2026 Commencement Ceremony. We are proud to have been a part of your education and look forward to celebrating your accomplishments.
Looking back at 2025
Metropolitan Community College’s Class of 2025 received fond sendoffs at commencement May 22, with two ceremonies at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence. The 6 p.m. program drew around 600 graduates and 4,500 guests, while the earlier 1 p.m. ceremony hosted 300 grads and about 2,500 family members and friends.
In all, 2,141 MCC students were candidates for graduation, earning 2,567 credentials: associate degrees and certificates.
