Our learning coordinator and tutors provide individualized instruction in reading and study strategies to help students improve comprehension and retention in most courses.
We provide tutoring for different content areas depending on the availability of tutors. Typically, we provide help for psychology, sociology, history, philosophy, speech and Spanish. Because the availability of tutoring for specific content areas varies, appointments are required.
Appointments are suggested, but not required for one-on-one tutoring in reading or writing. One-on-one appointments may be scheduled for one hour. Dependent upon tutor availability, one-on-one tutoring is also available on a walk-in basis. Drop-in tutoring is available with no time limit. During drop-in tutoring, students work independently, but our tutors and learning coordinator are available to answer questions.
